Main performance parameters of centrifugal air compressor

release date:2024-08-22
Centrifugal air compressor is a commonly used air compressor model, mainly used for high-pressure air supply in industrial production. The main performance parameters of centrifugal air compressor are introduced below.

1. Pressure range

The pressure range of centrifugal air compressor is usually between 0.7MPa (absolute pressure) and 2.5MPa, which can be adjusted according to different needs. The outlet pressure of centrifugal air compressor is usually higher than 0.7MPa to meet the demand for high-pressure air in industrial production.

2. Exhaust flow rate

The exhaust flow rate of centrifugal air compressor refers to the volume of air discharged from the air compressor per unit time. The exhaust flow rate is usually measured in standard state, that is, the reference condition is 20℃ and 1 atmosphere, and the unit is usually cubic meters per minute (m3/min) or cubic meters per hour (m3/h). Exhaust flow rate is one of the important indicators to measure the performance of centrifugal air compressor.

3. Power

The power of centrifugal air compressor refers to the rated power of the air compressor motor, usually in kilowatts (KW). The power directly determines the operating capacity and energy consumption of the centrifugal air compressor.

4. Efficiency

The efficiency of a centrifugal air compressor is usually measured by the power conversion efficiency between the motor and the compressor. A high-efficiency centrifugal air compressor can maximize the use of input electrical energy and convert it into compressed air while reducing energy loss and waste.

5. Noise

Centrifugal air compressors will generate a certain amount of noise during operation. The noise level is usually measured in decibels (dB). For some noise-sensitive environments, such as office areas or near residential areas, it is necessary to choose a low-noise centrifugal air compressor.

6. Control method

The control methods of centrifugal air compressors are usually fixed pressure control and variable frequency control. Fixed pressure control usually uses a pressure switch to control the start and stop of the air compressor, which is suitable for occasions with relatively stable demand. The variable frequency control automatically adjusts the speed of the air compressor according to the actual gas demand to achieve energy saving and stable operation.

7. Exhaust temperature

Centrifugal air compressors generate heat during operation. Exhaust temperature refers to the temperature of compressed air at the outlet of the centrifugal air compressor. The exhaust temperature is related to factors such as air compression ratio and cooling method. It is also an important indicator for measuring the performance and operating status of centrifugal air compressors.
